Washington Parks & Rec Commission

The Washington State Park system is one of the largest and most diverse park systems in the country, with more than 100 developed parks, long-distance land and water trails, heritage sites and interpretive centers, boating safety, winter recreation and other recreation programs. The mission of the park system is to provide opportunities for recreation, education and enjoyment and to care for and preserve a vast array of significant natural, cultural and historical resources for current and future generations.
